- Many are old mansions converted into residence halls.
- The cozy, warm atmosphere is an attractive feature, making these buildings among the most desirable living accommodations on campus.
- Unlike the traditional residence halls, our small houses have no more than 75 residents in a house. They still have the convenience of being close to the action on campus while allowing a more independent feel for upper-class students.
- Some are on the National Register of Historic Buildings.
- All of the houses are co-educational, except for Montgomery House, which is exclusively for women.
