Upcoming Sense of Place Tours
Join us for an informative behind-the-scenes tour of the J.D. Phillips Water Resource Recovery Facility, located near the Pikeview Reservoir. Since its opening in 2007, this facility has been essential in supporting growth in the north and northeast parts of the city. With the capacity to treat 20 million gallons of wastewater per day, it utilizes advanced "activated sludge with biological nutrient removal" technology, allowing some treated water to be filtered for non-potable use. The facility is fully enclosed to control odors and efficiently processes solids, which are sent through the Monument Creek Interceptor to the Las Vegas Water Resource Recovery Facility and further treated at Clear Spring Ranch. Gain a deeper understanding of how this facility contributes to water sustainability and the environment.
