Peer Support

About Peer Support

Peer Support is a nonjudgmental and accepting space where students support other students. Students can discuss issues and anxieties with other students, learn about campus resources, and learn strategies for maintaining their personal well-being and engaging in self-care. No one understands the block plan stressors better than someone living through it, so come in and talk to someone that can understand.

Some of the topics our Peer Support team can help you with include healthy sexuality, harm reduction approaches, integrating mindfulness practices, stress management skills, sleep habits, interpersonal disputes, minor health and hygiene concerns, and body acceptance.

Peer Support is not crisis intervention and cannot replace necessary counseling or medical services. Peer Support talks students through difficult topics while maintaining privacy and respect.

Meet Our Peer Support Staff

Charlotte CombeCharlotte Combe (she/they)

Hi, my name is Charlotte Combe, I use she and they pronouns, and I’m from Denver, Colorado. On campus, I help run the substance use harm reduction club and am a peer health educator here at the Wellness Resource Center. As a peer mentor, I am in the wellness resource center from 12-2 pm every Monday and Friday during the first three weeks of the block. I am happy to help by providing guidance, advice and emotional support for a variety of issues ranging from stress management to healthy sex habits. I’ve had my share of ups and downs in my time at CC. I’ve struggled with abusive romantic relationships, navigating depression and chronic illness on the block plan, juggling multiple jobs while taking intense classes, and finding friends on campus. At the same time, this school has connected me with some of my closest friends, provided me with community, and selflessly uplifted me during my struggles. College can be a great time, but also a really hard time, and I am excited to help make those hard times a little less hard.
