Direct printing from a PC

When you use direct printing, you bypass papercut and whatever you print will immediately come out of the printer you send it to. In most cases, we recommend using papercut instead.

SET UP DIRECT PRINTING ON A PC

Type "cmd" in the windows search bar and choose "command prompt" from the results

In the command prompt, type: "start\\print-01.coloradocollege.edu\printername" and hit, "Enter" on your keyboard to process the command

Example: start\\print-01.coloradocollege.edu\lib1-bw1

When asked for a username and password, use your CC network account username in this format: "coloradocollege.edu\username"

You will see a status window as it goes through the process of installing the printer. Once it finishes, you're done!
