Shodekeh Talifero

A word from Shodekeh on the theme of his residency:
"Adult Learning Paradigms: The Inner Child + The Inner Elder", a simple & yet complex learning concept defined as a multi-modal, perspective-based approach to the ongoing discovery, cultivation & dissemination of knowledge through the creative lenses of one's "inner-child" (constructive nostalgia) & "inner-elder" (dynamic ancestral guidance). This innovation theme is best exemplified through several examples by my Breath Art-based chapel micro-residency, developing my abilities as a Djembe player with Dallo Fall's class, the Breath Art guidance & cultivation provided for the DanceSix piece "Skygoers", the Sacred Crates vinyl collection research at the Music Library, the National Aquarium "Voyages" guest lecture for Junior Seminar, the Aerials Open Jam @ the Kellogg Climbing Gym & my Fiske Planetarium research and preparations at the Tutt Science Center. The Fiske Planetarium collaboration in 2025 will no doubt evolve to include this innovation theme & most likely an additional one, "Astrophysics + Astrocymatics".
