cSpace

Come, create. Come, connect! Located in the C&I building, cSpace was designed by students as a place to explore and express creativity in a supportive and process-oriented environment. It encourages experimentation, prototyping, and playfulness without the expectation to produce something specific. During the fall and spring semesters, there are student-led creativity drop-ins in cSpace on the second Monday of the block. CC members with a Gold Card can be granted individual access to the building and use it anytime for academic as well as personal purposes. Faculty can reserve cSpace for classes that benefit from access to creative materials.

What can you do in cSpace?

In cSpace, you can create and connect (with yourself and others) using a wide variety of materials such as paint (watercolor and acrylic), charcoals, pastels, collage supplies (many types of paper, print media, books, scraps, and Mod Podge), card and print-making stations, stamps and ink, origami paper, fabrics, yarn, pipe cleaners, and music and sound-making instruments. The space also features building blocks, LEGO, Play-Doh, puzzles, and a sand therapy tray. You can peruse the collection of books on creativity in the "li'l library" corner as well.

What do students say about cSpace?

"It's a playground of paint, LEGO, music, and so much more."

"In cSpace you can learn to trust your instincts and the creative process in a safe space."

"There are free supplies for almost any creative endeavor, and it's a quiet underground study space too."

"Come to cSpace to grow creatively, craft with friends, and connect with others."
