The Woman's Educational Society endowment, valued at $9,092,635 as of November 30, 2025, provides scholarships for approximately 20 Colorado College students. The endowment is managed by John W. Bristol and Co., Inc. The Finance Committee of the Board of Directors meets occasionally with them to discuss the performance and management of the endowment.
The goal of WES' Board of Directors is to provide WES Scholars with meaningful financial assistance to make a Colorado College education more accessible.
For Scholars who entered Colorado College before Fall 2025, the WES Scholarship supports 13.25% of the College's cost of attendance.
Beginning with Scholars entering in Fall 2025, the WES Scholarship covers up to 37% of the cost of tuition for those whose tuition is not fully covered by Colorado College's own need-based aid. For those whose tuition is fully covered by Colorado College's need-based aid, the scholarship is a $5,000 annual award.
Should supporters of WES make bequests and make other contributions for scholarships, WES will make every effort to increase the amount of funds for each Scholar or increase the number of scholarships it is able to offer. It is the hope of the entire Board of Directors that, through the generosity of the WES community, WES will be able to continue make a significant impact on the accessiblity of a Colorado College education.

Tuition: $73,038
Student Activity Fee: $528
Housing: $9288 (double room in residence hall)
Meal Plan: $7,376
Books & Supplies: $1,240 estimated
Personal: $1,800
Travel: $1,230 (2-3 trips home per year)
Total cost: $94,630
An additional amount of $5,000 is budgeted for the WES Special Purpose Grants.
