The Student Life Committee, chaired by the Vice President of Student Life, focuses on addressing issues related to student interests and concerns, particularly in areas such as housing, residential life, student organizations, student wellness, and campus services. The committee consists of the VP for Student Life, three class representatives, one DEI lead, and any additional CCSGA members appointed at the President’s discretion. It engages with staff members dealing with student concerns and ensures student representation at the monthly Food Advisory Council. The committee also has the authority to form subcommittees as needed, which report back with recommendations for further action. It is responsible for reviewing changes to currently certified student organizations and approving new ones. The Student Life Committee also ensures compliance with the Student Organization Handbook and considers DEI statements from new club applicants as part of the approval process. 

This year, Student Life will be taking a big role in planning school wide events with help from other members of CCSGA. These will include Goth Prom, Winter Jam, Day of Slay among others!
