2024 Title IX Regulations and Upcoming Policy Changes
In April of 2024, the United States Department of Education published the 2024 Title IX Final Rule with expanded protections. Over the past year, a task force drafted a revision of Colorado College’s policy to align with the 2024 regulations. In July, Colorado College became one of over 700 higher education institutions currently subject to a preliminary injunction from a US District Court that prohibits the college from implementing the 2024 Title IX regulations. Colorado College continues its commitment to provide support and effective response to the community through our Title IX Sexual Misconduct Policy.
The College continues it's work on a major overhaul of our Civil Rights and Title IX policies and procedures, however, it is unclear at this time which version of federal reculations these new policies and procedures will need to comply with. Once we have clarity over what the regulations will containe we will post a final version of the updated policy for a 30-day review.
