Immigration Response Guidance
Statement of our Values
Colorado College was founded on a commitment to providing education to all races and genders. While we have fallen short of fulfilling that commitment at many points in our history, our goal remains to continuously interrogate our past in order to evolve our future.
CC is anchored in the liberal arts traditions of free academic inquiry, humanity, and social responsibility. Even as new federal orders understandably raise uncertainty and concern, our commitment to antiracism, diversity, equity, and inclusion remains unchanged.
We continue to protect academic freedom, individual privacy, uphold the rights, and support the thriving of every member of our community.
Guidance if U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement comes to campusĀ
This resource outlines steps for the Colorado College community to follow if Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents or other external agencies come to campus. This document is not legal advice; it provides guiding principles to protect the rights and privacy of students, staff, and faculty. This page will be updated as necessary.
Please contact Rosalie Rodriguez, College Diversity Officer, with questions or suggestions regarding this guidance.

Steps to take if approached or contacted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement or other Law Enforcement

- Comply with FERPA and HIPAA regulations by not disclosing private information to entities from outside the campus.

- Inform the external agent(s) that you are not obstructing their process and that you will contact Campus Safety, who will respond to their inquiry.
