Temporary Operational Group Highlights

In 2024–2025, Colorado College launched a series of short-term working groups known as Temporary Operational Groups (TOGs) to address immediate challenges and opportunities across campus life. From accessibility and parking to international student support and sustainability, these groups brought together staff, faculty, and administrators to assess needs, recommend solutions, and implement changes where possible.

Focus Areas & Progress

Accessibility

  • Training and resources are being improved to better support students, staff, and visitors with disabilities.
  • Events and digital platforms will be easier to navigate for everyone.

International People & Practices

  • New travel and visa protocols are in place to improve safety and emergency response.
  • Campus-wide coordination on international issues is being strengthened.

Minors on Campus

  • Required training for working with minors is being rolled out.
  • Policies are being updated to ensure legal compliance and child safety.

Parent & Family Engagement

  • Family programming is being redesigned to support student success more effectively.
  • Communications and orientation tools for families are being enhanced.

Parking

  • A new, more equitable pricing model is being developed for 2025–2026.
  • Immediate improvements include clearer signage, lot maintenance, and better online resources.

Sustainability

  • In partnership with McKinstry, CC is creating a long-term Energy Master Plan.
  • The college aims to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 50% and plan for future energy needs.

Summer Program Logistics

  • A shared planning guide now supports summer program operations.
  • Gaps in training and policy, especially around housing and minors, are being addressed.

Clery Hazing Reporting

  • All campus community members will receive hazing prevention training, including online modules for incoming students.
  • Policies are being standardized, and new public reporting tools will increase transparency and accountability.
