July 27, 2024 Colorado Springs, CO 38.8339, -104.8214 Historic Uptown Neighborhood Ice Skate Fest Residents of Historic Uptown Colorado Springs and visitors came together for an ice skate fest at Colorado College's own Ed Robson Arena. July 30, 2024 Aspen, CO 39.1911, -106.8175 Aspen Alumni Gathering and Student Send-Off Manya made her way up to the mountains to connect with incoming first-year students, their families, and alumni in the Aspen area. Sept. 13, 2024 Colorado Springs, CO 38.8339, -104.8214 All-Campus Sleep-Out Manya and the President's Office hosted the first-ever All-Campus Sleep-Out! The CC community gathered to cheer on the Tiger men's soccer team, enjoy an outdoor movie screening, roast s'mores, indulge in a late-night breakfast, and sleep under the stars on Tava Quad. Sept. 20, 2024 Colorado Springs, CO 38.8339, -104.8215 Colorado Springs Downtown Partnership Breakfast Manya represented Colorado College at this annual event, which celebrates local achievements and looks toward a bright future for the city center. She also accepted the Downtown Star Award on behalf of Colorado College, which recognizes outstanding contributors to the economic, civic, and cultural vitality of Downtown Colorado Springs. Sept. 24, 2024 Denver, CO 39.748818, -104.992511 Denver Presidential Update at the Zoo Alumni and families came together for a evening of fun and connection at the Denver Zoo, where the Interim President shared her vision, priorities, and the latest news from CC. Oct. 10-11, 2024 Vail, CO 39.641594, -106.376956 Association of Colorado Independent Schools Leadership Conference Manya presented the keynote address at this conference for leaders of K-12 independent schools in Colorado. Her presentation focused on how K-12 independent schools can learn from higher education and adopt strategies around affordability and opportunity, academic preparedness, career readiness, and mental health and wellness.
Oct. 14-15, 2024 New York City, NY 40.757412, -73.985506 Senior Seminar Visit and New York Presidential Update Manya visited senior art majors and faculty during their senior seminar in New York City, joining an excursion to the Modern Museum of Art. Oct. 26, 2024 Colorado Springs, CO 38.8339, -104.8214 Fashion With a Purpose Manya stepped out in style to model clothing at Ashley's Attic, a Colorado Springs consignment shop, as part of "Fashion for a Purpose." This city-wide charity fashion show benefits local organizations that combat human trafficking. Manya and the Ashley's Attic models.
Nov. 1-2, 2024 Colorado Springs, CO 38.8339, -104.8214 Colorado College Homecoming and 150th Extravaganza In honor of CC's 150th anniversary, Tigers of all generations came together to reminisce, take in the beauty of campus, chat with students, cheer on Tiger athletic teams, revisit old stomping grounds, and commemorate our shared history. Manya connected with reunion classes, celebrated alumni award winners, and joined in the 150th Extravaganza festivities. Jan. 4-7, 2025 San Antonio, TX 29.4252, -98.4946 CIC President's Institute: Engaging Communities Manya will represent Colorado College at the Council of Independent Colleges' annual President's Institute event. The 2025 edition will explore ways that presidents can effectively engage communities to transform upheaval into opportunity.
Jan. 24-25, 2025 Tempe, AZ 33.4255, -111.9400 CC vs. Arizona State University Hockey Manya will head to Arizona State University to cheer on the CC Tiger hockey team as they take on the Sun Devils. While she's there, she will engage with alumni, parents, families, and CC staff at a pregame gathering.
