Scholarships

BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE:
Make sure that you have read Colorado College's policies about how financial aid and funding work for your intended kind of study away, so that you understand what already may be covered, and what you may need to find from external sources.
There are distinct aid policies for the three different kinds of study away at CC, make sure you carefully read and understand for the type of program you are pursuing:

THE FIVE FUNDING STEPS:
STEP ONE: Start early - some scholarship and funding deadlines can be up to a year in advance of when you plan to study off-campus.

STEP TWO: Colorado College's Financial Aid Office (and their Guide To Student Funding page) are resources for students who receive financial aid currently, or wish to inquire about how off-campus study can be made more affordable.

STEP THREE: If you are studying abroad through a partner program (like IES, IFSA, DIS, etc) they often offer a wide range of innovative and generous scholarship and funding options, both need and merit based. Make sure to apply for all that you are eligible for through your program, and pay attention to deadlines!

STEP FOUR: Check to see if your major department at CC may offer grants or funding.

STEP FIVE:  In addition, a searchable database of international scholarships can be found at IEFA (International Education Financial Aid Directory): https://www.iefa.org/, and both GoOverseas and StudyAbroad.com have listings of many scholarships. Also, on IESAbroad's Scholarships page, if you scroll down to "Outside Funding," they have an extensive list of possibilities to explore.
