Risk Management
Colorado College carries insurance through multiple insurance companies to cover campus buildings, equipment and property, college-owned vehicles, and more. Workers’ Compensation is handled by the Office of Human Resources
Certificate of Insurance (COI)
A certificate of insurance is a document used to verify that an entity is insured. To request evidence of CC’s insurance, contact Tricia Ayala, and include a description of the agreement. If the insurance language is correct, and if other terms of the agreement have been approved, then CC’s certificate of insurance will be issued.
Insurance requirements for hosting 3rd party vendors, community groups, and special events
Please work with Campus Events when hosting special events on campus. The organization will be responsible for listing Colorado College as “additionally insured.” The amounts required include $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 annual aggregate. If the organization is unable to meet these requirements through their insurance, they can purchase the event coverage through our third party insurance program, TULIP.
