Theater Safety
Colorado College has several spaces across campus that can be used for a myriad of different events. These activities include, dance, music, theater and sporting events. The largest of the Theater type spaces are housed in three separate buildings: The Fine Arts Center, Armstrong Hall (Kathryn Morhman Theater), and Cornerstone (Celeste Theater). Due to different configurations of the spaces the emergency devices installed need to be understood by the performers and persons that will be backstage while the theaters are in use.
The following videos illustrate the functionality of these systems.

The theater at Armstrong Hall is equipped with a fire curtain and louvre system in the event of a fire on stage. The following video illustrates how to deploy the fire curtain.
Any activation of the fire curtain system MUST be reported to Campus Safety (x6607) AND Environmental Health and Safety (x6678)
Please Note: Only trained personnel are allowed to reset the fire curtain.
