Peer Education Program
The Butler Center’s peer education program will develop and facilitate workshops for CC student consumption that center the following overarching topics at Colorado College:
- Anti-racism
- Diversity
- Equity
- Inclusion
These dialogue based workshops will center the CC student experience. Workshops can be requested on the Butler Center webpage.
Because the Butler Center is a student-facing resource on campus, Peer Education workshops center the CC student experience and context. Student groups/clubs/organizations can reach out to the Peer Education program via a specialized email account. They can then request a workshop that is specially tailored to their needs.
The following is a list of workshop topics that have been included within the Peer Education curriculum:
- Microaggressions & Macroaggressions
- Implicit & Explicit Bias
- Identity Exploration
- Identity Development
- Exploring Positionality as it relates to identity
- LGBTQ+ Identity: Safe Zone training
