W.E.B. DuBois Prize
The W.E.B. DuBois Prize for Excellence in Sociology is awarded annually at the Honors Convocation by the Sociology Faculty to one or more graduating seniors. Although the monetary award is small, the prize conveys great esteem. Faculty rely not only on the history of a student's work in the department, but also the student's active presence in the department when selecting recipients.
This prize honors the lasting legacy of W.E.B. DuBois and his contributions to the field of sociology.
