About the Sexual Assault Response & Prevention Program

The Sexual Assault Response & Prevention (SARP) Program is an important part of the Wellness Resource Center and was established in 2004 in response to the needs and voices of Colorado College students, faculty, and staff. In 2022, the position title was updated from Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) to Campus Advocate.

We believe that sexual and interpersonal violence are community issues that require a community response. Our vision is to foster a campus environment where all forms of sexual and relationship violence are not tolerated, and where respect, consent, and care are the norm.

Through advocacy, education, outreach, dialogue, and supportive services, the SARP Program works to reduce the incidence and impact of sexual misconduct within the Colorado College community.

Please note that the Campus Advocate does not provide counseling, legal advice, or other long-term services. If you are seeking counseling or legal resources, our staff can help connect you with appropriate services and referrals.
