People Practices Advisory Group
The Human Resources team is working with our employees to help our people thrive. As we review our policies, procedures, and practices, we want the community to make decisions with and for our employees to help CC continue to be a great place to work.
We are launching a People Practices Advisory Group to help us enhance HR’s ability to serve the CC community. This will be a group of approximately 12 people that will be asked to provide insight when HR is changing policies and procedures (People practices). We often have trade-offs when making these decisions, and multiple perspectives would help enhance the quality of those decisions.
We will assess processes and find ways to enhance them including:
- Contributing to antiracism and wellness commitments
- Reducing waste and frustration
- Increasing efficiency and automation
This team will:
- Meet for two hours a month to provide feedback on proposed practices
- Engage in pre-reading as needed to prepare for the monthly meeting
- Occasionally provide feedback on practices asynchronously during the month
The Staff Council and Representatives reviewed over 25 applications for the People Practices Advisory Group. The following representatives joined us for our first meeting on October 25th, where we discussed our Leave Practices.
