Updates for NSF Applicants
Safe and Inclusive Working Environment: Effective immediately: faculty who will be proposing research or grant-funded work that will be conducted off-site or off-campus are required to develop a plan for a “safe and inclusive working environment.” At this time, some directorates/programs (in BIO and GEO) are requiring a two-page supplementary document to be submitted with proposals as a pilot program. For most other directorates at this time, the plan must be prepared prior to submission, but it is not submitted. Please review the instructions, resources and template information available here.
A recording of an NSF session on this topic (including video, slideshow, and transcript) are available in the Additional Resources section of this page.
ScienCV Requirements: Beginning with NSF proposals submitted on October 23, 2023, the Biosketch and the Current & Pending Support Form must be prepared using SciENcv (where you can log in using your NSF login)
Vendor Pricing: Moving forward, we must document “reasonable prices and rates” as part of the budgeting process, so let’s plan on creating a document that captures screenshots of two or three possible vendors to help us document why we chose the vendors we did.
