The Colorado College Summer Music Festival was among the winners in "The Best of the Springs" 2024 contest put on by The Gazette newspaper.
The CC Summer Music Festival, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary season this year, earned bronze in the Festival category under Arts & Entertainment. Territory Days took gold and Pikes Peak Pride silver.
Festival staff and friends of the Festival were among the crowd at the banquet hosted by The Gazette to celebrate the Best of the Springs winners on April 25.
Best of the Springs is a survey of Gazette readers' favorite things in Colorado Springs. In addition to Arts and Entertainment, categories include City Life & Recreation, Family & Health, Food & Drink, Services & Professionals, and Shopping.
Each year in October, readers nominate entrepreneurs, small business owners and community service providers. Those with at least three nominations are then considered for inclusion on the final voting ballot for readers to select their top picks in dozens of sub-categories.
