Graduating from CC in 2013 with a major in religion and a minor in feminist and gender studies, Jack Teter currently serves as the regional director of government affairs for Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, where he crafts policies to expand access to reproductive health care. He has contributed to legislation at state and national levels on abortion, gender-affirming care shield laws, and insurance coverage for STI testing, prevention, and treatment, and he is currently drafting a 2024 ballot measure to repeal Colorado's constitutional ban on public insurance coverage for abortion. Prior to joining Planned Parenthood, Jack worked to pass legislation on education funding equity and school discipline reform. He serves on various boards, including One Colorado, the statewide LGBTQ advocacy organization, and New Era Colorado, a youth advocacy organization; he also serves on Denver's LGBTQ Commission. An experienced organizer at the intersection of progressive politics and faith communities, Jack was the first transgender staffer at the State Capitol.
