Feminist and Gender Studies is delighted to share that Eloise Kelly ’21 will be attending the City College School of Education in New York City, NY, starting this fall where she will be working towards certification in Social Studies Education. The City College School of Education “prepares knowledgeable, reflective, and caring educators who are qualified and committed to teaching and leading diverse communities.” The Social Studies Education program “supports undergraduate and graduate students, who are current or prospective teachers, to skillfully enact social studies curriculum in grades 7-12.” Eloise is looking forward to building on the interdisciplinary training that she received at CC in both FGS (major) and History (minor) to empower marginalized youth and to make the study of history and social studies more accessible and relevant to young people
