Doug Norberg

Doug, now retired, is one of the original partners of the Seattle investment builder and real estate management company Wright Runstad & Company. He is active in development activities in Winthrop, Washington, and in conservation programs in Western Washington. He was lead director of Pope Resources, a timber resource and management company, and former director of Regence (Blue Shield). He is a founding director of Commerce Bank, Northwestern Trust, and Investors Advisory Company, Swiftsure Capital (private equity firm), Domaine Meriwether, and Red Hook Ale. He is vice chairman of the Museum Development Authority, Seattle, and was a lecturer in business and real estate at the University of Washington. He now acts as a consultant to various real estate and timber companies. Doug is a trustee and investment committee member of the Seattle Art Museum and a Member of the Board of ETC Theater, Santa Barbara, He is former president of the Financial Executives Institute - Seattle Chapter; City Club; and ACT Theater, as well as leader of ACT's new building project (1997). Doug is past president of the University Club. He is a former CC class agent, active in the reunion giving and development programs, and co-chair of CC's Cornerstone Arts Project. Doug and Nancy travel widely and enjoy photography, golf, fly-fishing and wing shooting. They are a parent of two CC graduates, grandfather to Douglas M. Norberg '21, and sponsor of the Norberg Family Scholarship program and Studio A at CC.
