This time capsule contains more than 100 essays and photographs depicting community life a century ago. A splendid ceremony in 1901 at Colorado College marked the sealing of the large steel-riveted box, which stands today in CC's Tutt Library. Louis R. Ehrich, in his speech "Posteritism," expressed his hope that the people of 2000 would give a similar Century Chest to their descendants.
CC's Special Collections has begun posting the contents online.
