QuestBridge Application
Since 2013, Colorado College has partnered with QuestBridge - a non-profit organization that matches high-achieving, underserved students with opportunities in higher education. Colorado College participates in National College Match and will enroll a number of QuestBridge students, some through match and others through our own admission processes.
The QuestBridge Application is administered through a third-party organization and only students who have matriculated through their QuestBridge Scholar process may apply using the QuestBridge Application. We recommend that QuestBridge Scholars begin by submitting the Preliminary Application to let us know that you are applying. Students applying through QuestBridge must complete and submit the Supplemental Essays for their application to be considered complete.
Please note that neither the Common Application or Coalition Application is required for students submitting a QuestBridge application at any point in our process. For advanced instruction and to complete your application, please visit the Colorado College partner page via the QuestBridge website.
The Matching Process
Application
QuestBridge manages its own application process that begins in the late summer before a student's senior year.
Matching
Students selected by QuestBridge and matched with Colorado College receive comprehensive, four-year financial aid packages. These packages do not contain student loans.
Non-matched students
QuestBridge students who do not match with Colorado College, do not participate in the match process with Colorado College, or do not reach the matching round (non-finalists) are still encouraged to have their applications forwarded to Colorado College. Students may do this by filling out the Colorado College Preliminary Application and indicating QuestBridge as their application method. Non-matched students can apply to Colorado College through Early Action, Early Decision I or II, or Regular Action rounds.
Application Materials
The following materials are required for a QuestBridge student to apply to Colorado College:
- The QuestBridge Application
- The Colorado College QuestBridge Supplement, which includes one supplemental essay.
- If not included in your QuestBridge Application packet, please submit:
- An official updated transcript with your most recent grades. This may be sent to admission@coloradocollege.edu
- Guidance counselor or teacher recommendations
- Optional: Test scores - CC accepts either self-reported scores on the QuestBridge Application or official scores. Visit our Test-Optional page for more information regarding our testing policy.
- Mid-year grades when they become available.
- All financial aid documents, including the FAFSA, CSS Profile, and more must be completed by the application round you choose. Your application is not considered complete until we receive all necessary financial aid documents. Please note that we recommend completing the FAFSA and CSS Profile at least two weeks prior to the corresponding deadline.
- Applying for financial aid is the same for all applicants, regardless of how you apply. Visit our Financial Aid website for more information about this process.
Application Process for Non-Matched Students
If you do not match, the easiest way to complete the application process is through the QuestBridge Application forwarding process to pass your application materials to us. If you are a finalist who ranked Colorado College and do not match with any institution, you may apply Early Action or Early Decision I by either submitting the Preliminary Application and indicating you're using a QuestBridge Application, or by notifying us in writing. We will communicate to students via email regarding next steps in this process.
If you are interested in applying Regular Action or Early Decision II, you can notify us by submitting the Preliminary Application and the QuestBridge Supplement. All QuestBridge finalists who rank CC but do not match with us or another institution will automatically be considered in our Regular Decision round. Finalists who do not rank Colorado College and do not match with another institution must notify us in writing of their interest in being considered for admission, and should have their application forwarded to Colorado College.
