How To Declare Your Major
To declare a major in the department, you are required to meet with the Paraprofessional, Liam Mullen. You may schedule a meeting at this link. You are welcome to ask a faculty member before the meeting if they are willing to be your advisor, or you can just show up and get your advisor assigned by the Paraprofessional at the meeting. Please get acquainted with the requirements for the major you are declaring and fill out the Major Declaration form, but do not submit the form. During the meeting, the Paraprofessional will go over the form with you.
If a professor says yes to being your advisor, please keep in mind that it is contingent on them not being over our department’s limit for advisees per professor, which the Paraprofessional will be able to confirm at your meeting.
If you are declaring a major in International Political Science or Mathematical Economics and would like to have an advisor from Political Science or Math and Computer Science, please reach out to those departments instead.
We look forward to welcoming you into the department!
