Anthropology
Anthropology is the study of humans, both past and present. The field is inherently interdisciplinary, seeking to better understand the human experience through the study of culture, human materials, language, evolution, and more. The CC Anthropology Department offers an expansive outlook on human cultures, providing multiple opportunities for hands-on anthropological fieldwork, including field-based courses and lengthy field trips. The Block Plan promotes creative teaching and rigorous expectations for reading, writing, and critical qualitative and quantitative analysis in anthropology.
