HK204 - Human Anatomy

This lecture and cadaver-based laboratory course provides a comprehensive introduction to human anatomy, focusing on key concepts across major organ systems without engaging in dissection. The course emphasizes regional studies of the human body, equipping students with essential knowledge for graduate studies and allied health professions.

Prerequisite: 1 unit of Organismal Biology and Ecology 105, 106, or 107, or Molecular Biology 131, or Human Biology and Kinesiology 130, or Psychology 296 or 299, or consent of instructor. Sophomore Standing or higher.

Introduction to Human Anatomy examines the fundamental concepts of the structure of the human body. Students will attend lectures and utilize previously dissected human cadavers along with other anatomical models.

This course is designed to meet the needs of students interested in graduate studies & allied health fields. This course does not involve dissection, but human cadavers that have previously been dissected will serve as learning tools for students, in addition to various anatomical models.
