Study of various themes in the literatures of the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Maghreb, or Quebec. Themes may include the politics of identity, exile, intertextuality, gender, women writers, etc. The structure and content of the course will depend on the theme and preference of the instructor. Prerequisite: French 306, or 307, or 308.
