ED542 - Literacy Seminar 1: Dyslexia Theory and Practice of Instruction
Continues a comprehensive, systematic approach to instruction in the alphabetic principle, reading, spelling, handwriting, and comprehension begun in ED540. Students continue in their understanding of the underlying pedagogy of multisensory reading instruction, hands on use of curricular materials, lesson design and implementation, student assessment, and instructional decision making. Transference of new learning in the remediation classroom to the general classroom is emphasized. (Not offered 2025-26).
Prerequisite: Education 541.
