Students complete the required teacher candidate practicum under the supervision of department staff and certified Colorado educators in the public schools of Colorado Springs and vicinity. Teaching assignments are adapted to needs and plans of individual students. Each teacher candidate attends arranged meetings with his or her college supervisor to discuss teaching experiences. (Not offered 2025-26).

Prerequisite: Enrollment in the education licensure program and completion of EDUCATION: ELEMENTARY TEACHING, EDUCATION: SECONDARY TEACHING, or EDUCATION: K-12 TEACHING major.
