ED203 - Guidance Strategies for Early Childhood (Birth-8) Education

Provides an exploration of guidance theories, techniques, and practices used to support young children’s (birth to 8 years) ability to learn and engage in prosocial interactions with peers and adults. This course covers factors that influence children’s behaviors, as well as aspects of early childhood educator professionalism related to ethical, inclusive, and equitable guidance practice. Practicum includes fifteen to thirty hours in an ECE placement. (Not offered 2025-26).

Prerequisite: Education 102.
